Hi all

i was wondering what difference, on economy the following make.we have a 5.7 VY2

free flowing exhaust
K&N filter
over the radiator Mafless tune
my wifes right foot

You should get 10l/100klm on a highway & 14lt/100klm around town . Your wifes foot is the bad part of the story , followed by the Mafless which uses an "Average" set airflow figure & results in richer mixture at low power & idle throttle settings. than a car with MAF sensor fitted.

does remapping the chip have much effect on economy?

My fuel economy went down heaps after my tune, but I've had a mafless tune and I did the 2 hole mod on the airbox and I'm running the standard air filter. On the H'way I've seen my fuel economy down to 8.8l/100km.. Around town I ave between 16 and 18l/100km but i only do short trips which effects my economy. Before the tune my ave was around 20-21l/100kms.
If your missus drives like mine then her right foot will effect your economy I know my missus normally uses more fuel then me.
