Do stock SS Utes sit lower than the s?

Just wondering do SS utes have lower springs than the normal s or just sit lower cause of heavier engine? and if they are lower, how much lower are the ss springs than the s

the ss should have fe2 suspension which is a little lower

Should be about an inch lower.

my s had fe2 in it from factory easy way to check what springs it has is check the build plate will tell u if it has fe2 will be same height

Yeah I tried to check redbook to see if the SV6's had FE2 suspension. I imagine they would but Im not sure.

If the S version has FE2's than it should be around the same ride height.

So if i get ss springs for my s it will sit lower? im pretty sure mine arnt the same as ss's, my back end sits heaps high... and i see stock ss's and there back seems to be a decent amount lower

i would tend to say yours have been changed at some time then as mine used to sit at the same height as my mates ss until i lowered mine further fe2 springs are fairly cheap at least.

if you put SS front springs in it will sit higher due to the difference in engine weight, thats why when you buy springs they ask you if its v8 or v6

My VY S2 S ute had STD suspension written on the build plate - and it was noticeably higher than an SS by about an inch. Your ride part says VY storm - these things came standard with FE2.
