Hey guys ive just been reading that X Force are crap soo whats the best?
How it Mantra, Berklee etc?? ive been looking at berklee?
pacemaker for extactors.
I have a lukey for catback, u cant go wrong
So is the lukey 3" catback and im gathering its a V8? Im actually Pretty keen in Redback atm
Twin 2 1/2" Manta on the V8's, not too expensive and flow very well. Not too loud but give a nice rumble and no drone if you have the rear resonator. There are other brands that are a lot more expensive, IE KPM, but I do the Manta for $690 shipped, the KPM is more than double that. Would you really get TWICE the performance out of KPM over Manta?
Ok then so you think Manta? where can i buy these ones to?
But has anyone got any news on the Redback exhaust? also does going mild steel make much difference to noise than stainless?
Err... Not_An_Abba_Fan can supply you a catback as per his post.
Mild steel USUALLY gives a deeper note than SS. I think it's got to do with both the thickness of the steel used (Mild is slightly thicker off the top of my head) and also the resonate (sp) properties of the material.
The way I think of it, mild steel = growl, ss = bark.
I suggest you jump on youtube and listen to a few systems, should give you an idea of different sounds etc.
Oh, +1 for Manata systems.
Thanks for that also another question is going 3" loosing back pressure for a V8??
I've got a berklee 'Pex' 2.5"catback. i think it's a good quality system, gives a nice note without being too loud when it's revving and no inside cabin drone on the highway
if its an V8, give it an good system.
KPM, Diffilippo, Mantra are the only brands are good in my books.
i have a full stainless Diffilippo, nice deap rumble.
want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...
I have the full 3" kpm on my ve and its very deep burbly with no droan, well worth the money imo
