VY Headunit Cutting out

Hi guys,

My stock headunit has been playing up lately...

Whenever i turn my high beams on one side cuts out but if i simply turn the headunit off and on again its fine ... BTW I have recently installed a HID kit on my high beams.

Could it be:
A. That im drawing to much power?
or
B. Bad Earth to the battery

I dont know just having a guess

Any help would be great

im having this same trouble with my vy ss, i think its just a bad earth. it wouldnt be ur hid as these use less power than standard, my ss hasnt done it in the last few days.i thought it had something to do with my lights but maybe its just the stero !!

lol mines been doing that as well, and a recently got HID's but i dont think it would be that
i thought it was my amp dying but maybe it is the headunit, im running off an AUX port from stock headunit so maybe that is stuffing up

haha same aux setup aswell mate... may be the problem but i havent had it since :S

I had this issue when I turned it up to almost full. Sometimes it would drop one side but would be corrected by turning it off and on again. No idea what it actually caused it though. I simply fixed mine by not turning it up so high

Digital or analogue ballasts?

no idea... these are the ones i bought hid conversion kit H4 hi/lo super slim ballast 5000k (eBay item 260782848481 end time 01-Jun-11 19:58:07 AEST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats, but before i installed them the radio cut out when i turned it up too high as well. and as i said it hasnt happened since

mine use to do it all the time. i got sick of it and bought an double din headunit. it fixed the music problem!

Yeah im hopefully putting my double din that i just bought in tommorrow

found out why mine was, the 80 amp fuse at front of car was lose and kept cutting in and out.
so a lil tighten and perfect
