Does anyone know if Holden or HSV made different ratio steering racks? I'd quite like a bit more response from my VY SS utility.

I believe they have a variable rate rack (safer at highway speeds?)
And have been so since at least the VT's? Not aware if there were any options on this.
Could be a retrofit job for you if there is nothing else.
It's possible that the early models had a different (linear) ratio for the manual steering but I think the power rack remained the same basic (variable ratio) design from VT to VZ. There were changes made in the VY, picking up design cues from the Monaro, but I don't know if that meant a change in rack design or ratio.
