Default JTG Liquid injection just installed and already having problems

Hi all, i finally got a jtg liquid injection system installed on my vy v6 wagon and from all the research i had done i was looking forward to it. What a let down it was, so far.

Picked it up today and all looked good, popped the hood to check out the work and first impression was "a bit of a messy job". Secondly the pump is quite loud but i have heard that that will quieten down after time but kinda used to it already. Thirdly, went for a bit of a drive to see what it felt like and noticed that when cruising at 60, 80 or 100 with around 1500 to 2000rpm the car would kind of stutter/shudder, maybe misfire, also was alot rougher when idling compared to petrol. Another issue i had was when i first came home and was parked in the drive way i could hear a constant popping sound "pop pop pop pop pop" low pitch. hmmmm what now? i had a look in the engine bay and found a hose loose which appeared to be running along side two other larges hoses that appeared to be the supply and return fuel lines for the unleaded.

Lastly, another issue that arose was that after about 30min of driving i got a CHECK ENGINE warning come up on screen, i pullled over, switch the car off, switched back on and ran on petrol for the rest of the trip with no issues.

Please not that all these issue were only present when running on LPG and the car ran fine on unleaded.

To be honest i am quite disappointed with this situation, i pay good money for a highly recommended system and get nothing but issue the first day i drive it

Im intending to contact the installer on Monday and am guessing that i will be without a car for another few days which causes its own issues in itself.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on how i could go about these problems and if i should contact LPG warehouse or deal with just the installer (SA)?

Any help like always would be great

Here is the foam between the tank and chassis, never seen this before

the extra lengths of cable that weren't even zip tied away just shoved into the corners

notice the fuel send and receive line looks quite tight with no slack, gonna be tight when i need to get the spark plugs out and get a spanner in there

ive had 3 cars converted to gas and none of em have looked this dodgy

the lead for the switch inside cabin, yet again just rammed in there, not neatly installed

you think they would clean the intake manifold one there done drilling and not leave little alloy bits scattered everywhere

photo of the engine bay when first opened

the disconnected line i found that mad a pop pop pop noise, runns next to unleaded fuel lines

electrical tape already falling of dfi module where the solder some wire

lpg fuel hose from injector to manifold, a few are scratched up a bit and other bent maybe a bit to much

all in all this is not what i expected for $4500 plus the installer scratched my car then made it worse when he tried to cut and polish it, how the hell did this installer get on the LPG warehouse website as a installer?

As HoZy suggested get onto it. That's horrible workmanship.

Just to let everyone know i took the car back to the installer and have had the issues fixed. it appears that the electronic valve on the tank was not opening fully thus causing insufficient lpg flow which caused the stuttering and check engine error. Additionally the engine bay was cleaned up and looks a lot more professional and the fuel filler altered slightly to allow easier access. The scratch was also fixed at a near by crash repairer with a cut and polish and looks as good as new.

Hey glad to hear that you are happy with it now.
Can you please post what mileage you are getting with it when you have used a few tanks of gas. I used my VY Acclaim today to go to Coffs Harbour from Sydney and back I think its about 440klms each way. I only used one full tank of gas as I left with it 1/4 full and used a bit of the unleaded as well. I got 430klms from 48 litres. Mine has Vapour Injection and I am so happy with I could just $h*# it goes like a charm.
I`m not sure what it gets around town as my wife drives it mostly and I cant get her to work it out,she has a memory of 0 out of 10 but it might be around 330-350 klms for 48litres.

ive only just gone through one tank with around 1/3 of the tank for slow city driving and the other 2/3 with highway driving. first calculation returned a result of 13.5L/100 but i have read that this should improve over time as the injectors have to wear in, something to do with seating and gas leaking past the injector into manifold. im hoping to achieve around 11-12L/100 which would give me around 400km to a 46L fillable tank. ive also replaced my plugs (1.4mm gap) and leads. maybe down the line i'll change the oxygen sensors and coils but ill see after 5000km. i'll keep you posted
