LS1 Duel Fuel

Hi guys, just wanted to know is it worth gettin gas put on a LS1? My dad wants a VY Calais or SS and wants to put it on gas. How does the car run, does it get good kms to the tank?

my brother has a vz ss and a vy sv8 on gas they get around 450km around town aprx 16L/100km and 600+ on open road he has an vapor injection kit on them and would recomend it to any one who is looking to reduce there fuel bill.

have a look into a JTG LPG system, i just had one installed and now is running pretty good. Im averaging around 12-13l/100km city/country driving 30%/70% but have been told that will get better once the injectors wear in. ive read plenty on the net about these systems being installed in ls1's and with such positive feedback i decided to invest in one myself. it set me back $4500 but for a v8 i think the going price would be around $5000-$6000. go to Australian LPG Warehouse - Find an Installer and do a search for jtg installers. call around and see how they all compare for price. JTG systems inject LPG in its liquid state not a vapor thus helps with improved power, economy and cooler engine temps compared to older vapor systems. the initial outlay may be a bit more expensive than other systems but since its a more economical system it will pay for itself sooner.
