Been looking my V6 VY a new exhaust on it. Just a cat back to get a nicer sound than stock. Spoke to few places and was generally around the $300 to $400 mark for something like a lukey. Spoke to a place today in adelaide and the guy quoted me $1150 for a stainless steel and he said that was the V6. It would be custom made but still that sounds pretty expensive to me. Is it worth it or would a lukey 2.5' be enough?
Im staying clear of x-force and redback ive only heard bad things but seems to be all good for lukey

No waaaaaay is it worth getting a stainless steel exhaust for a stock V6.. I would never bother. It will last longer thats for sure, but a regular mild steel will still last for years and years. I would get a redback (~$240 delivered) on eBay and fit it myself if i were you, the job is easy as anything. If not $350 should see a catback fitted from a shop.

Stainless steel exhaust on anything is over the top and is really just for wank factor in my opinion...
If your worried about durability just get the system coated in high temp exhaust paint and it'll last ages!
