Hey guys just fitted a 3" X Force exhaust to my car and it now at stationary hits bumper and rattles and gives me the shits lol ive lossened of the flange bolts and twisted it away from the bumper it helped a lil bit but still does it. Only thing i can think of is, It come with this Silver hanger seperate from the system does anyone know what its for it looks like a bracket that the rubbers hang onto but its silver and itys sepoerate to the system as in not welded on any help would be good thanks guys![]()
A pic might help? What if you got a thicker rubber at the back where it comes out of the car
Sorry cars not with me atm but its croked a bit and hits the left side of the bumper? and how does a thicker rubber help?? also what i found wierd was the stock exhaust had to hanger brackets but this exhaust has only one?
thats what you get for buying an X-force.... thye never fit! LOL good luck with it
want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...
Should have researched before you bought... Thousands of posts about them not fitting
WELL I DID my research and everyone i spoken to thought they were awesome ??!!
what is a good system
Well i got told X force was better than Dp, Manta etc.. Its an SS exhaust for SV8 im thinkin is the exhaust cut out on the SS different to the SV8 rear bumper??
They must be very hit miss then cause heaps on here don't fit. Must be some lucky people who get a good one
Yeah lol im one of the unlucky ones lol it just rattles at idle though when its in drive and when you stop thats the only issue i have and its tilted a lil not heaps is there anyway i can fix the rattle though??
lol it would seem the only brand i havent seen a complain about is pacemaker... although i just got a custom one cause i wanted to avoid all these kinds of hassles
take it to a mechanic and he might be able to fix it... i had a similar problem once the exhaust "wore in" and he fixed it for free during a service
x-force better then Diffilippo and Matra!!! your kidding right?

MATE i have the same exhaust I fitted it in less than 15 mins fits perfect no rattles etc. that silver thing you talk about is used on ONE of the twin rear muffler hanger as you will see the xforce rear muffler only has one hangar . just insert that silver extension on to one of the hangars all it does is make it long so you can slip the two rubber thingys onto it, it makes it stronger and should fix your problem.
btw the xforce 3 inch system on my manual vy is excellant Im very happy with end result no droning and sweet sound
any pics or links to the exhaust guys?
X-Force is better than a gutter down pipe, but that's about it.....
Noobs with knowledge.... Gotta love it..

Of course my post was useless, I just troll to piss noobs like you off... Go follow the X-Force herd, Sheep boy..

Baaaaaaaaaa! I'm an X-Force sheep. Move along tough man.
X-Force 2.5" twin exhaust - hangers were wrong so the exhaust tapped. Took 30 minutes for my welding friend to have it fixed. Sounds and looks awesome in shiny stainless steel - flows a healthy 325rwkw all day every day, so take that X-Force hating sheep.
Lukey 2.5" single exhaust - fit well apart from the rear exhaust hanger snapped off and had to be repaired. Droned like some of the users on JC.
Difillipo 2.5" single exhaust - fit perfect cold, but as soon as it got warm something expanded and decided to tap tap tap under the car. Sounded okay, but not good enough to justify the double price of everything else.
Manta 2.5" twin exhaust - Fit perfectly, not one problem fitting the thing myself and sounded great - no drone and not as expensive as the Difilipo POS.
