I have a Supercharged VY Commodore with a 10 psi upgrade and induction kit. The problem i am having is with it's hesitation. When taking off from the lights or when already at speed it seems as though it is not getting enough power. Under the excelerator and you feel and hear that it silghtly hesitates in giving me it's all. When already at speed like over 60kms and you flatten it, it makes this chucking sound briefly. After changing the leads and plugs to decent quality (one of the previous plugs was cracked) i found that it was better for about a week but now it's back and getting worse. Has anyone had the same issues? Does anyone know what may be causing this?![]()
coil packs
As above, i'd next be looking at Coil Packs and DFI Module. Very quick and simple to test with another to eliminate them as the problem source. Do you know anyone with a vs-vy v6 you could borrow them from to test on yours? They are the same from vs-vy v6 ecotec and supercharged. I've attached a pic to help identify. The DFI module is the flat alloy plate sandwiched between the coil packs and the metal mounting platform. It has the wide electrical plug attached on the side held in by one 6mm bolt. The fine bolts holding on the coils are 7/32, not metric.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Chris
What plug gap are you running and what fuel are you running?
When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all,,,,,,,,,
