    Default Can someone with a multimeter do me a huge favour?

    Please take the cover off the interior light and tell me whether the brown green grey or red wire on the plug has +12v at it

    Google it dude, or make your own test light, or just go buy a test lift from supershit auto... Earth to the car and shove the pointy and in them all, if the light glows you have power.

    There is no such thing as stupid questions, Only stupid people.

    All of then are connected to ground. I have a short wanting to just run a new feed up there.

    Found this diagram but can't follow it.

    I thought that but red is the only one I can discount as not being positive. Map lights are grounded to screw and red wire isn't connected to them at all

    Which green wire mate? I don't have a green one. White and green or yellow and green on the plug before the light?

    Cheers for your help

    Green = constant +12v
    Red = Switched Earth, ie. when doors open it triggers the relay and turns on the interior lights.
    Grey, orange and whatever the other colour was are all related to the switch and corresponding relay.
    Surely you could have worked out that either red or green were 12v, considering they are the only wires connected to the bulbs....

    Seems pointless rewiring the lights.. First thing I would have checked was the cable that runs to the boot light, which sits above the parcel shelf (I recall from another thread that you may have nicked the wires there)
