I picked up a set of these black grills to put up in the parcel shelf. I'm not putting speakers in there though I using it as a port of sorts for my sub in the boot.
I'm wondering has anyone put these in ?? Is it just simple as running a blade through the shelf ?

Pretty sure there is a metal plate below it that will need to be popped out 2
If you cut the metal tray and a mechanic notices during a road worthy, you may need to get a engineers certificate to say that the car is still structurally sound, although it shouldn't cause any issues it can when it comes to a road worthy
I put a set in mine a while ago . Just cut on the inside of line on the parcel shelf then cut out sections for the tabs on the grilles to fit and bend them over . The metal directly below can be knocked out with a hammer as they are pre cut and only held on in about 4 places .
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
Awesome ok thanks for that might have a go this week when I get half an hour

There's 2 metal cut outs that are only held in by tabs, they were cut in the factory, so they will not affect a roadworthy.
All you will have to do is knock out the tabs, and cut out holes in the carpet cover (already has the outline there for you).
