I recently upgraded my exhaust to a 2.5" Manta catback and have recently noticed it rattling at idle and low revs. More of a knocking sound at idle as if it's hitting against the chassis but rattling when i first take off. So revs under maybe 1300rpm you hear a rattling.
It was suggested to me that I put a clamp on the first join on the front piece from the cat to the front muffler as it's only got the one clamp on the rear section, however the factory system only had one clamp too. What should I be looking for when I jack it up? Thanks guys.

I do Manta, I can't remember if you got from me or not.
Yes, it needs two clamps, it comes in three sections and they all need to be tight. Because you have left one clamp off, this join will be loose and the system will be moving.
Ah k then. Yeah I bought it from you but wasn't sure if it needed two clamps or just the one. I'll salvage the old clamp off the original system and hopefully it should be all sweet again.

im looking at upgrading my exhaust and was pretty keen on buying from you "Not_An_Abba_Fan" when you say the OP needs a clamp is this something that is bolt on or does it require welding? i dont want my exhaust rattling like DUK13Y here.
DUK13Y - how long did it take you to install your cat back, and did you notice the rattling straight away?
thanks
The system slips together and is held by clamps. There is a 2 bolt flange on the back of the cat. No welding required.
His system only rattled because he left the clamp off and it was loose.
Took maybe 20minutes to install once I knew what I was doing. Rattling wasn't right away but as said, it's an easy fix and shouldn't rattle anyway. Highly recommended.
