Whats normal idle revs? sy sv8 manual

bought a VY SV8 the other week and its my first V8 manual, I had a manual v6 few yrs ago and the idle was the same as an auto v6, was wondering what is normal revs at idle for a gen 3 v8? mine sits at 900rpm

there should be a sticker under the bonnet on the stupid plastic shroud thing holden uses, failing that its 5 - 600.

nah no sticker, has anyone else got a vy v8 manual that can have an input?

Manual idles differently. My ss idles at about 800, can check the sticker under the bonnet tomorrow if you like

Just had a look at mine. 5700 RHD Manual in neutral is 800 rpm + or - 50. For auto owners out there it's 650rpm + or - 50 in neutral and 550rpm + or - 50 in drive. Spark plug gap for both manual & auto 5700 is 1.52 mm + or - 0.05 mm. Taken from radiator cover in engine bay series I Vy SS.

Mine idles at about 1200 in the mornings now. Comes back down to about 800 pretty quick though. My plate under bonnet is the same as above
