Last night it was 6 degrees in Melbourne, a perfect night to give the car some gas through the quiet suburban side streets of Hawthorn.
After taking some seriously good apexes through the street we stopped to have a ciggie and there was a slight sound of a liquid that was bubbling from the engine bay. I said to him "Can you hear the radiator fluid bubbling?"
Basically, he didn't think it was the radiator fluid or coolant but didn't actually have any other idea what it might be.
I've heard this noise before and always thought it was the coolant, it doesn't cause any issues.
Any ideas guys?

Sounds like coolant bubbling back to the overflow. I'd replace the radiator cap
Let the police nab him, then wait till he whinges on here..then I will be happy..
....But yes... Its you're coolant ........... doing the fully sick mate hoolin n' shit..
Future reference..Don't hoon in public roads ey.. find a quite road somewhere where you CANT kill or hurt anyone else but ya self....
Dont give Holdens a bad name![]()
It sounds like vapour bubbles accumulating at the highest point in the coolant circuit perhaps. Is it the same sound a "fonzanoon" makes?
Thanks for quick replies gents.

As suggested, likely coolant if you were driving it hard - caps a recheap and easy to replace.
