    Default Caliper Covers

    Hey lads,
Wouldnt mind buying a set of caliper covers for my Yv sedan, just wondering if there is anything I should look out for?

By caliper covers do you mean the plastic ones that sit over the calipers ? Like the brembo ones on eBay?

If so, those who have no idea what they are looking at they might look alright. But everyone who has a mild interest in cars may think it looks a bit tossy

Also, there has been some question to their ability to withstand the heat. Just something to consider

Yeah, they are just the ones off ebay.

I thought they might, but for $22 it'll be worth a look, if their no good I'm sure I could just palm em off to a mate.

What do you mean about the heat, as in they might fall off with the glue, or melt completely all over my brakes?

    they are gayer then aids.

heat up, melt, stop your brakes from working effectively, crash, insurance void, etc.

if you want to change the colour, paint the calipers. if you want to try and fool people that you have brembo's, buy a ricer.

Nothing really - the biggest issue would be steering around all the people rolling on the ground laughing uncontrollably at you.

    Paint them like this.

Or, if you're set on the fake covers, I'd recommend getting one of these too.

Pretty sure they would be made from a thermosetting polymer thus melting is not possible. They might be susceptible to becoming brittle and cracking over time however.

Purely there for cosmetic purposes. I think you just gave new definition to RICE, and have just discovered bedrock in the abyss of pathetic car mods.

No offence. They are the single gayest thing I think you would ever spend your money on.

People can tell when you use the covers too, they stand out like dogs balls. Very funny looking I must say. A bloke near where I live have them and I laugh every time I see him drive by lol
