    Default vt to vy delima

I have a 2000 vt ss that is poking out 302kw at the back wheels. the car recently had an arguement with a pole and lost. the motor has had a lot of money spent on it and has only done 12,000 ks and would like put this engine and my shift kitted trans in to a 2004 vy ss rather then having to go through the rebuild process again. if any knows if this is an easy task ie; are the computers, mounts, wiring looms etc all the same or similar. or is it even practical?

I too have heard that you cant stick an older engine into a newer car. However, might be worth considering the engineers cert seeing as you've obviously spent a lot of money on the engine.
A Commodore is a passion. Anything else is just a car

the certifacation is not an issue over here as the motors are both ls1's.

Everything is pretty much identical as far as I know. It's only in the VZ that they started changing gearboxes and stuff.
VX2 Executive Sedan - 3.8L Auto (for now)
VT SS Sedan - Supercharged V6 Auto (Genuine L67 SS)
VN SS Sedan - 5.0L 5 Speed Manual (Currently Balga spec waiting for panel and paint)
