Hey guys,
So I've done a search and didn't find much.
Basically I'm buying a new battery soon (probably an Optima D34) and I've got some new terminals on the way like this: Positive and Negative.
Both have 0 gauge, 4 gauge and 2x 8gauge inputs. On the positive 0 gauge input is a fuse, so that will be used for the amp wire to the boot.
The question is, how have others gone about connecting the stock power wires to aftermarket terminals that have specific wire size inputs?
I am thinking about crimping/soldering the correct size wire onto the stock wires for a neat, tight finish, but I would like to hear what others have done.
Cheers
i used like a 0 gauge reducer into the 4 gauge on the terminal which will fit a few wires or like a 4 gauge into the 8 gauge on the terminal
What's wrong with factory terminals? Also you may find some of those batteries have 2 sets of terminals. Your regular two posts and then 2 bolts. Connect it to the bolts using O terminals = problem solved?
