We definatley have a problem.
2003 vy supercharged engine blown.
Went with a std vt ecotech with vy loom.
VT chip in supercharged comp runs fine for 10 secs then cuts out - presuming immobiliser - vats issue with vt memcal? Does that need to be linked?
The stock vy s/charged bcm is labelled MID.
i have sourced a vy calais kit including pcm bcm and keyheads.
Is this a suitable alternative to linking the vt memcal?
Car runs like crap with vy memcal and perfect with vt but cuts out.
Soz bout the post im posting from iphone - its torture
Please help me understand all possible oprions as i have been stranded for weeks
Thanks !![]()
Not quite a datsun..
So long as the price for the vy calais pcm, bcm and keyheads you've sourced is reasonable, this is the method id take. Everything will be a straight 'plug and play' swap with no mucking around (have done it this way a few times myself). Another alternative would be to have the VATS removed from your vt memcal.
Cheers

VT and VY use different serial data and aren't compatible. Use the VY ECU/ BCM or get the memcal modified to suit your N/A engine.

was speaking to a guy the other day who had a vx with a vt supercharged motor and he said all he had to do was relink the bcm to the pcm.
