culster light??

hey i was driving today when a arlarm sounded through my dash cluster (same as when ur on low fuel) so i pressed ok on the control pannel to the left thinkin i was on low fuel. when i looked down i noticed that i still had 100km's or so of fuel left and that a light in the shape of a motor with a lighting bolt in it can up to the lft to the km's remaining on the dash cluster, after a few sec the light went out.
the car felt normal when the light was on.
the car has only done 97000km's and only got serviced 3000 km's ago and on wednesday iam driving from Darwin to Adelaide and would like to know what this light is befor i leave

The engine management system has detected a fault and stored a fault code pretty sure, You will need a scan tool to read the code,and intemperate it to diagnose the fault.
