not sure on which tail lights i should get

so im planning to get better looking tail lights and im not sure which would look the best, its hard deciding..

so i really like these ones eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

and my brother rekons i should get the SS ones (Left & Right are the same price) Holden VY Commodore SS & SV8 RHS Right Sedan Tail light | eBay

and these look pretty good also COMMODORE VY SEDAN BLACK/CLEAR ALTEZZA TAIL LIGHTS (2) | eBay

so wat do you guys rekon, what are your thoughts?

i dont mind spending the extra $$ if they will look really good on my car

I like the black altezza ones, had considered getting them myself, same look as a mates ve clubsport, light coloured car dark tail lights. so long as you don't go for the rice/chrome altezza, not the nicest comments have been heard. $230 for the LED smoked ones is a bit rich IMO, how are the SS ones different? I don't see it. You could always play around with tinting film first and see how that looks, seen various threads about it lately.

i reckon the vy ss ones look the best

just my opinion though so go with what you think looks best... after all your the one whos gonna spend the most time looking at it

btw i have the vy ss (imitations) on mine if your wondering how they look on a car

My pair I got have a single scratch on them, not deep though... Recon I could use some wet sandpaper say 2000g to get rid of it? Any suggestions?

eww vz ss tail lights on a vy... i dont want my car to look like a vz, i wanna look different and stand out from all the others

Totally a matter of your own tastes. I like the LED ones. Since the LEDs are so bright, you could get away with extra tint on them too, that would look cool. I normally speak out against tinting because they make the lights too dim, but LEDs would solve that problem.

dont do it, not worth ruining it if it goes pear shaped. if you can barely notice it just leave it, or try it first on your old ones. i tried on an ss headlight and polished it afterwards, looked all cloudy and dull.

fair enough, most people are either one or the other - either go all genuine or all after market (meaning altezza's, tinted tail lights, aftermarket wheels, chev badge maybe haha, etc).

nothing wrong with it just not what i think makes a car look good. but hey that's why they call it customising.

he would fit in at the mardi gras afterwards... about the only good thing about having them on a vy (pretty sure that isnt even a good thing)
