Holden Commodore VY LED DRL Black Headlights Euro Style | eBay
Would fit a series 2...
Light pattern should be fine...
Peoples opinion on them is that they look shite
any one else
If they comply with ADR then the light output should be fine. Personally, for $499 there are better things you could do in my humble opinion (not sure what, but for replacement headlights that seems excessive).
It will look different, but not something I like.
If you like it, do it - the opinions of others may not be the best thing to seek with this type of thing - it is subjective and personal.
i asked about peoples opinions about these lights a few weeks ago, i got about 10 replies and about 9 of those bagged me out about how crap they looked lol
But as said before if they comply with the ADR's they will be okay, if you like the look of it then get them.... Just sucks nobody makes projectors for standard VY's![]()
You can install Berlina or Calais projectors in any VY. Should bolt up no problems.
You just have to get the little 'teardrop' bits in the bumper filled in for aesthetic purposes.
hey mohi they will easily fit ur car and the lights look amazing.... nothing like it, i have them on my vy looks awesome![]()
those lights look awesome but for 500 bucks id rather something else

Whether they look good is a matter for you to decide, screw anyone else its not their car.
The claims the ebay people are making that no-one else has the lights are BS. Unfortunately they dont seem to get cheaper.
I notice they dont mention the teardrop insert in their ad, so I dont know if they supply it.
You might want to check out this link.. same price but they state that the teardrop comes with it.

I think they cost a bomb, and there are nicer lights to be had for a fraction of the price. They will fit and work well, thats not an issue, its a matter of whether you think its the best place to spend $500 on your car..
I'd like to see the light output and cutoff's from those 'projectors' they have in there just quietly...
They look pretty good in my opinion.
$500 is with best offer, check his feedback and see that others have got them for $400.

I love the way when people want to customise their car, particularly with lights, so much polarisation occurs.
If the guy wanted better lights and decided to go HID, he would get flamed for not buying projector lights.
Since you and I guess lots of others dont like anything thats not original, he gets called a fool for considering buying them.
Its his car and he is building it to his own tastes. He isnt putting anything illegal or dangerous on his car. That doesnt make him 'or any other fools car that fits them' (not fantastic english by the way) a fool, it means he has different tastes.
And for the record, I dont particularly like them. I think DRLs look gay, though I would love it if someone made projectors for my VS.. BUT ITS HIS CAR.
DRL's will become more and more common once the Jap and Korean manufacturers start fitting them - they seem to be a Euro trend at present. I agree that the styling of these aftermarket lights polarises opinions, with most comments vehemently opposed to them. I reckon if the DRL component of the light was more understated, they could look quite ok. My biggest issue with them is the quality of manufacture and the effectiveness of the headlights. I always suspect that they are not of a high quality and won't last, but I don't have any facts to back up that opinion. I'm not fussed about that particular design because I don't like the way the DRL's curve around, but if you see some of the latest offerings from Audi, the ones pictured above are not as "in your face".I think the Audi ones look awful.
To the OP. I agree with Dakster. What you do and what you like is entirely your choice. I would just say that the quality of manufacture and effectiveness of the actual lights is something you can't be certain of and they are pretty expensive compared to the factory projector units from upmarket models. However, they do cater for the teardrop light which the factory projectors don't, so perhaps the money you save by not having to modify and paint your bumper offsets the purchase price and they then end up reasonably priced. If you like them, go for it.
