sound system does not turn off when door open.
hey. does anyone else have this problem. as it is a pain in the butt. it does turn off just like anywhere bettwen 1 - 5 min but only sometimes when i open the door
Had the same prob is it the same with the lights? Mine was a dodgy door switch, you can see it on the inside of the door where it hinges, I just sprayed it with contact cleaner and twisted it about 90 degrees or as much as I could and pushed it a dozen times to make sure the cleaner hit the contacts in it, try that first, otherwise I'd say it's completely stuffed, or you acc relay in the fuse panel is cactus.
i have found that if i come to a rolling stop. as in turned the car off then roll into carpark my lights stay on and dont turn off with door. but if i drive into carpark then put hand brack on then turn car off then open the door the lights turn off but the sound system still goes for like another 3 min
lights shouldn't go off until like 5 seconds after you lock it, that being said, the music should turn off as you open the door (with the key fully turned off).
There's the little plastic bit sticking out on the inside of the door, if the radio doesn't turn off keep pressing it til it does. Alot of them need a clean, and you can easily get them off.
Well I'd try the things I said first, there something that runs off the door switch that tells the acc relay to turn off once the key is in the off position and the drivers door is opened, if the door switch and acc relay are not faulty anything run of the accesories feed should switch off eg, lights radio, if the thing I said fail, there's something jacked up somewhere else.

It can be adjusted by the trip computer from 0sec to over 30 seconds iirc.
