i have a purple vy s 2 commie 5 speed it smokes some times its white and only really happens wen changing gears im thinking spark plugs or something any ideas
anybody please help
smokes a bit or a lot ? little white puffs can be see when changing gears i would think condensation
only puffs of smoke and wen idleing it smokes a litle smells a lil like petrol
I'd say it was steam. It shows that your cats are working. It would disappear when warm?
fuel smoke is black changing the plugs and regular service is always a good thing but when dose it do it when the car is cold of after a long run? are you needing to top up oil or water if not i dont think there is any thing rong.
wen its hot or cold it dont relly matter and it gets seviced ever 10 000 ks havent had to top water or oil up but runs a liltel bit rugh wen it does it
But the Carbon Dioxide that the fuel smoke is catalysed by the cat convertor into is a clear gas, it is possible that some of the hydrocarbons aren't being catalysed due to an overly rich mixture of fuel to air (black smoke not being visible due to a number of other gases that are coming out of the exhaust in much larger quantities).
The white smoke is most likely just steam from the catalytic conversion process, but the very obvious fuel smell may possibly be a fault with the O2 sensors?

Why the #### can't anyone spell for shit these days....
It may have something to do with the same reason that people don't realise that statements like the above are actually questions, which require a question mark on the end.
Other than that, I completely agree with you. People come on here for help and type jiberish like they're texting a mate, if you want a reasonable response it is wise to make your writing half respectable.
that's not nice
