    Default brake upgrade.

Hey guys just wondering what your opinions are on a brake upgrade, got offered a really cheap price on an upgrade set of brakes front and rear for my VY SS. The guy has them on his monaro at the moment and consist of VE calipers front and rear with slotted and cross drilled approx 330 rotors front (unsure rears). Comes with all mounting brackets and braided hoses. Is it worth the upgrade?

    your opinions are appreciated

That's not a bad price, but the rears don't really need upgrading, not a lot of difference in rear disc brakes from VB-VE.

Yeah, I understand the rears arent a huge difference it was more just an added extra as the rotors are bigger making the brakes on the rear look less like tea cups behind the 20's :P. But as for front wise, is there much difference. I'm thinking they must be as the VE does have an extra 40odd kW from factory and weighs 170kgs more.

thanks for your help, if the guy comes back I'll probably grab them off him.

Going up to the 330mm rotors will make a big difference as long as you don't use $20 pads.

I work in an auto spare parts shop. nothing annoys me more than the people who come in and want the cheapest set of brake pads that they can get their hands on. look at them hoping that they will never be driving in behind me :P
