Buying a VY one tonner

Hey all, my mum is looking at selling her ss an buying a one tonner cause need a work ute for the farm an to tow a horse float, just wondering what are some common faults that are in the vys, or would a vz one tonner be better?

Is she looking for a 6 or an 8? Because the v6's are different and i believe there was no manual option on the vy v6 but there is with the vz v6.

Leaf springs carry loads much better then the coils... Well they do in the Hilux's so im assuming this would be the same for Holden's

hey mate i got a vy v8 manual one tonner i love it, quick ute and still able to do all the work stuff in the same comfort as a commodore.
