You can get the 8" slimline subs for about ~$200. they have inbuilt amp and will fit anywhere. They work well for their size. All depends on what bass you want to punch out.

If you put one sub behind each of your seats then have a look on ebay for the boxes. There are some good looking ones ready to go with a moulded fit. I have never used these so someone else may be able to give you more info

He could have posted a link --> JL Audio TW5 Subwoofers - Car Audio Subwoofers

First one from a google search. The YouTube videos I had a look at about it are all over driven / maxed out. WTF people do that is beyond me.

Yes, but did it answer it in the right context? He wants to know what gear you have used in a ute set up like the one he suggested. Assuming you have not had that setup based on the fact you have a sedan, merely throwing out a sub model doesn't help him at all.

Now if you had included information like that in your original post, you would have actually helped the OP. Seems as though these useless posts are common for you anyway.

Do a search mate, systems in utes have been covered hundreds of times. Come back when you have any other questions.

Not sure if you've found a solution that works for you yet but i have actually just installed a polk 10" in a sealed box in next to the fuel tank and ported it into the cabin.
It goes very hard and you don't lose any space in the cab from it, if you want to know more just repost and i can take some photos for ya.

    Good luck

I have seen it done although the install I seen was a tad messy and the cut out for porting into the cab was rather dodgy. Can be done and if done properly would be nice. I plan on running a second battery in that spot

IF you get a good pair of 6x9s paired up with a good head unit and amp you almost dont need a sub the sound is bassy enough

2x12 slimline subs behind the seats and 1x12 slimline in next to the fuel tank. 1 amp under both seats.

    Hey Mate,

I have 2 x 12" kicker slimlines behind both seats.
    I have a 950w amp running them.
Produces really good high end bass but really struggles with the low bass.

Its much better then a lot of my mates systems but i just really miss that heavy Bass that makes you cough!
I am contemplating a custom box next to the fuel tank but thats a pretty big job and a lot of places don't want to do that install.

I would suggest 2 x slimline subs behind each seat. Even 1 slimline did the job nicley as long as its well tuned.

PM me if you have any questions.
    I have a 03 VY Ute
