srevice reminder reset

Hi guys an grls ive a wee bit of a problem with my vy maloo, i cant reset the service reminder ive done the procedure in the owners manual but it wont work. I read some where before that its a problem with some of the vy's. Is there any other way to reset this or is it stuck on my dash for ever more.

hold down the up and down buttons where your menu and set is on you dash before you put in you key then turn you key until all the lights come on and it will bring up a service reset
