gear stick vibrating!!

hi, i got a vy v8 one tonner manual, and when u rev the gears up to higher rpm there is a vibrating noise and to stop it i just hold the stick and it stops, its like there is something loose but only sort of happens when i flog it.

havent taken the leather boot off to check it out yet. thought i would ask before pulling the interior apart.
