Want to do a comp test to find out if oil sign on no5 plug is rings or stem seals but cant get it to fit. Its a Stanley Compression tester and it seems the thread is too short to engage in the head - any hot tips? Cheers
Get the right compression tester adaptor. Doing a comp test is serious stuff as it's to rule out or diagnose terminal issues with an engine. It must be done right to avoid re working a fault
VYII Calais L67
I have done both my Ecotec's in VX II's and got very high readings of 200 to 205 PSI.
One had 230,000 on it and the current one has 125,000 on it.
These things would appear to have very good ring sealing.
Hope this helps.
