Default Jvc Deck in a VY

Just after a quick bit of advice really

with the jvc dvd decks i am trying to figure out what is going to be the easiest way to install this to my VY, it is a jvc KW-AVX726 i have installed one of these in a vt/vx no problems i no this is a requirement with these to put a dash fascia in fp9056.. i have seen there is a need for a aerial extension.. are these easier to install with aerpro iso/din premade cables?

    Thanks

    Nick

I reckon the iso cables are the way to go these days, as it is neat and easy to take out if you ever want to put in the factory unit. I think you will still need to get a dash fascia though as the vy/vz dash is bigger than the average lol

^ swapping the cables isn't always necessary, mine wasn't an issue with my JVC deck and VY with Aerpro harness.

Some of the Aerpro harnesses have the red (constant 12V) and yellow (accessory) wires in the opposite places, so the deck loses its settings everytime the car is turned off. Before completing the install, turn the car to accessories, set the clock, turn it off for 10 sec or so and turn it back on. If it has remembered the clock, leave it. If not, the red and yellow have detachable connections, so just swap the red and yellow. (looking at a harness, it is easier to see what I mean.)

The amp wire is connected to the 'Remote In' on your amp. Think of it as an acessory switch for the amp - the deck tells the amp to turn on when the deck itself turns on. If you're not using an amp, tape the end of the cable and tuck it out of the way for future use.

In regards with the Remote wire from deck i am assuming i have to tap into a wire on the aerpro plugs ? the blue with the white tracer if the aerpro plug has such thing in it as i havent purchased them yet i will be this week..
