Fair certain the YouTube one is only a temporary unlock (in such you have to do it everytime you start the car) I'm pretty sure the first reply was correct in that you need a tech 2 tool to unlock it

You need tech2 to constantly enable it. It overrides the speed alert function and turns it into a digital speedo.

Or alternativly you can see it by going in through engineering mode or whatever you want to call it on the VT-VZ Either by holding mode and up, or mode and down while cycling the ignition on.

To do it temporarily in the vy ss I held down the mode+set buttons and when the serial number and what not came up I just pressed mode to go through to the digital speed. But it was very tiny.

you need to get someone with a tech2 to enable it but you lose your overspeed setting but if your a good driver you shouldnt really need to rely on a overspeed chime and holden dealers should be able to do it but be careful as it takes less then 5 minutes but most places will try and get you to pay for a full hours work
