I have the chance to buy a one owner VY Berlina V8 auto in good condition.
When I checked on the Red Book site which lists all info ( for registration ) on the vehicle, I was surprised to see a 0 to 100 KPH figure of 9.3 seconds !
Very slow, same time for a VX II or a VY II !
When I drove the vehicle it felt this slow.
My VX II Equipe V6 is quoted by Red Book as having a 0 to 100 time of 8.7
My V6 auto feels like a much more responsive motor, and they both have the same gearbox ratios and final drive.
Are the Berlina V8’s really that much of a slug in standard form ?
I realise I can get a tune done, but I cant see all that missing ( asleep ) torque returning with a few degrees extra advance lower in the rev range.
Appreciate any informed comments.
Cheers all
Stock 5.7 would own a v6 lol.. Redbook tells lies.
LOL redbook lies big time on this one haha
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.
Why the double post? :/ Berlina V8
I thought the Tuning Section / Thread might be a better place for the post.
