Question Vy headlight globes - who? what? where? how?

Hey guys hoping someone out there can help me.. im looking to change my headlight globes to white with a tiny tiny tiny tiny hint of blue to compliment the car.. ive been reading heaps of posts about globes but i cant find the exact answers im looking for... so here are the main questions.

which are best brands / types of bulbs to buy

    what type of bulbs do i buy.. h1 h2 h3 h4

do i need 2 types of bulbs 1 for low and one for high

wheres the cheapest place to buy.. ebay or shops

how are they installed or rather whats the easiest way.. ( waste time trying to get my hands in or just take bar off)

hopeing someone out there knows what im talking or has overcome similar problems..
    Thanks Heaps Tristan

Easiest way would be to grab some Phillips Crystal Vision which has a slight blue tinge or Diamond Vision which is supposed to be bluer.

They are just a simple bulb change, undo the cap behind the headlights no need to take the bar off and plug them in.

They are both ####ing bright though, so make sure you aim them correctly.

    Not entirely true.

More light (as in HERE I AM YOU CANT MISS ME), less distance.

You need 2 and they come in a twin pack for anywhere between 50-90 bucks depending on what you get (so...1 twin pack).

Ive personally got Xtremevision +100% in my car. They are ####ing bright, they have a long view distance.

If you want a clearer, white light try Bluevision (the name is misleading) or Essential Vision, they are both better than standard lights and have a white look.

DiamondVision which is the bluest light is probably on par with standard bulbs as far as view distance goes and Crystal Vision which is not as blue but has a very slightly better view distance than standard.

does extreme vision have any tint of blue or just straight white..

Theyre the same bulb. H4 is a High/low beam bulb.

Phillips has...essentially 3 ranges of enhanced globe.

    Xtreme = See further distances
BlueVision/Essential Vision = Clearer white light
Crystal/Diamond Vision = More visible to other drivers/stylish look.

So it depends what you want. Xtreme doesnt have a blue, it looks whitish with perhaps a tinge of yellow like the original lights. Bluevision is a white light. Crystal vision is white with a slight blue tinge. Diamond vision is blue but standard quality.

Blue is not good for DISTANCE. Its fantastic for being seen by other drivers. Which is what I said.

As long as theyre aimed well, and you dont travel to far out of the suburbs that dont have street lights theyre fine. Annoying as #### when theyre up your arse and the person doesnt know how to aim, but as you said...wankers.

Theyre designed for show. I sure as hell wouldnt want them if I was driving down the coast one evening or in heavy rain.

What's involved in aiming the headlights? I'm doing the same to my VY II Acclaim. Replacing the actual headlights with SS Headlights, but I want to put in white bulbs before I do.

i parked a car about 5 meters infront and comming and when the front bar is still off adjust them.. using the 3 screws that hold the light in place... i think u can do it with the bar still on but you have to remove the grill to get to the third light..

if people are flashing you.. then u know uve done something wrong lol
