vy ss front bar on s1 executive???

hey guys just got a couple of questions

Can a ss bar be fit to a series one executive without changing headlights.. and im a little confused about how the grill work if some can explain how the grill fits the bar.. and if i need one.. or just use mesh.. and if thats even possible.

secondly i was wondering if anyone knows how much lower the ss bar will be compaired to the rest of the a few mates have said like... a couple centimeters.. but is there anyone that knows exactally and wether it will look shit or not..

third and finally was wondering if anyone has had a front bar sprayed and how much is costed them.. just so i can get a rough idea

the ss bar will fit no need to change the headlights but you will need to buy a new grill as the ss one is smaller but it all fits on the same. your second question nope its not lower. i have a vy lumina with ss bumper and its the same just a little bit different skirt shape

any ideas on what the cost is to spray a front bar..?

and instead of buying a grill can i just use mesh and make my own grill.. seen some other vys with mesh grills nd they look beast

that shouldnt be a problem the grille uses the same holes that the bumper uses you may need a few washers for the gap but you may be able to get away with out them

there is 1 issue though this

dont be lazy you'll regret it, get a grill from the wreckers if money is a problem...

lol nah i like the mesh look lol havent seen any delf blue with mesh tho.. so dunno what colour would go.. nd i dunno how to do it either lol

just a little side question of my own.. the 2 plastic/rubber screws that are behind the number plate... where can i buy some i destroyed mine and the bumper doesn’t sit 100% has a bit of a gap under the headlights. its not very noticeable but as i like stuff to be perfect it bothers me to no end lol

holden will have them but good luck getting them off again when you need to take off your bar haha

I have taken mine out and reused them heaps of times. I've also reused all the ones holding on the side skirts no problems at all, you just have to be careful.

Removal:
To take them out just lever out the center screw with a sharp tool (i use a jewelers flat blade screw driver). Usually they just come straight out, sometimes you get one where you have to turn it with a philips screw driver at the same time as levering it - i found this was common with the side skirts as dirt made it's way into them and jammed up the threads.
Then just pull out the surround/clip part.

Re-installation:
Push all four fingers together, pop the clip in the hole. Can be a bit fiddly - make sure that all the fingers actually go into the hole rather than just catching and bending outward.
Push the screw into the center. All done.
