surging

hi i have noticed recently when im driving my ss its really surgy on take off and also just driving? i have a cam and i no it will be a little different from a standard ss but any ideas as to wat it could be... also with driving it and it gets surgy if i put my foot down a lil i get a back fire

It is tuned for the new cam right?? just wanted to check as you didnt mention it and thats where there could be an issue

I would say it's not the tune if it's only recently started happened and the car has been running fine before.

Only asked about the tune cause its usually mentioned but i didnt realise you hadnt done the work

SOunds like it could be an O2 sensor... bloke at work had his vy ss run badly due to a clogged fuel line so might wanna check your fuel filter as well

Well i got a diagnostics computer put on my car today and my o2 sensors are fine i dont no wat else it could be

also with today the errors logged were air flow meter but there wont be one as it has been maffless tuned and also said it is running rich? so could this be kinda flooding it and then causing the back fire?

fuel filter might be full of crap aswell just a thought

I dont no how to get the fuel filter off and i checke my plugs as they were supposedly done and they were filthy

did it start doing it after yo fiited the new leads/plugs?

mine use to do the same. surging and back fire. hooked the computer up and came up as a missfire on #2.. checked the lead on #2... it wasnt pushed on all the way.
i'd check all the leads are clipped on properly.

I havent changed the plugs yet but did the leads and it did start happening after i did them
