Hey guys, I think my car wants me to throw some more money at it again.
Whats happening this time is when im driving down my driveway (crappy dirt one with potholes) .. The car is making a horrible clunking noise. Its coming from both sides of the front wheels, It started to kinda make the noise about 10,000KMs ago but i didnt really think much of it, but now its terrible, Basically every hole i hit it clunks. IT doesn't matter if im turning or going in a straight line, and only clunks when i hit holes.. It still feels like the car handles great, but its just noisy
The clunking noise sounds very much like 2 rubber bushes rubbing together, It doesnt sound metallic.. So in saying that ive replaced all the bushings under the front of the car, and replaced the whole sway bar pin assembly as people have reported as this being the problem.. But to no avail the noise is still the same and getting worse!..
I also believe i have a stuffed bearing in the front also as it makes a grinding noise at slow speeds, but once i go faster it goes away?
But im thinking now its probably the shockers are gone? as its pretty much all i have left to replace.. Would a stuffed shocker make a rubber squeaking noise if their no good? .. i havent replaced the shockers for about 80,000KMs so im guessing their on the way out anyways..
What do you guys think could be my problem?
Thanks again!
