Hi guys im new to this forum so this is my first post.
Iv got a 2003 VY SV8 which has done only 108,000 K's also has been Lowered, Pacemaker extractors and twin 2.5" exhaust, SS 17" rims (and just paid 6 months rego).
My dad reckons its only worth $8,000 or so but iv seen other cars with more k's for around $13,000.
Could anyone please give me a rough idea of what it's worth i would really appreciate it... thanks in advance
P.s if this is in the wrong place could a mod please move it
Taken from the 'Redbook' valuation site, not sure how accurate they are, I think they tend to undervalue if anything.

As above for a series one car. This is a good general guide for wholesale value.
If you take the car to a dealer looking to trade into a new car you would be offered around $8500 if it is in very good condition. That is a wholesale price. If he wants to keep it for resale on his lot, the dealer will add around $6000 (sometimes more )and place it on the lot. Lowering the car and modifying the exhaust adds zero value to the car (it's all pretty much dead cash now). In fact some buyers will shy away from a car that has been modified. (For some others it's a plus but astute buyers won't pay you more).
Private retail you should be able to get around $13000 for the car if it is in very good condition and not an unpopular colour. Much depends on the overall condition of your car and the demand for that type of vehicle in your area.
There are plenty of used car web sites where you can see the "asking prices" of cars of the same year and model as yours in your area. If possible have a look at the condition of a couple of advertised cars, especially dealer cars, and see how they compare with yours. After a bit of reasearch you should be able to come up with a sensible asking price if you are looking for a sale now. If you want to check the "wholesale value" of your car take it to a holden dealer and get a trade in price on a new car. (The new car price quoted needs to be the same with or without your trade in).
Thank you Sean880 your input was very helpful![]()
