Default Brake Squeal, VY SS UTE HELP!

Hey guys Ive just bought myself a VY SS Ute and its managed to generate this annoying brake squeal, the rear slotted rotors and pads are fine and ive replaced the front pads with Bendix General CT and ive even used the special goo thats meant to prevent vibration/noise, and roughed up the front rotors with sand paper, but ive still got the same noise from when the old pads were in it, nothing has changed! the only thing I can think of is to replace the front rotors but they dont have a lip or anything! what could it be? its so annoying! Any help muchly appreciated, cheers!

I don't understand how a diamond shaped brake pad doesn't make noise --> General CT | Bendix

I thought it had to be a flat surface, but if the noise is the same after both pad changes - maybe it could be rotors

Also shimms on the pads could help if the bendix don't come with them from the factory

Edit: also get out and stand on the brakes hard sometimes they need to be really worn in!!!

Yeah I have reused the old shims on the new Bendix pads but still have the same noise, the only thing I can think of to do is replace the front rotors? but they dont even have a lip, and I suppose I could stand on em a few times to see if that helps?

I suspect there could be a poor level of contact between the brake pads and the rotors. The first thing I would be doing is having the rotors machined provided you will still have minimum thickness remaining. (BTW never "rough them up" as you did with any scouring material). If you cannot have the rotors machined without going below minimum thickness then replace them.

BTW I would never just replace brake pads without either machining the discs or replacing them at the same time. They are inexpensive to replace when you consider the life you get from new items of sound quality.

    Cheers
