adding steering wheel controls

Hey guys,

Sadly my car didn't come
With the steering wheel controls/volume buttons and I really
Envy people Who have them! Has anyone added these before? Is it possible?

Hey mate, I'm guessing they have removed them? Does it have an aftermarket head unit?
Cus I've contemplated taking mine off as they don't work with my aftermarket head unit.

How does it look without them?

I've checked my VY workshop manual, it should have them, doesnt say any models that do or dont have them

Also you can get an adapter box if you have an aftermarket stereo, can get them through autobarn

I've had the CAT09 model(been superseded to the CAT 10) in my VY for a few years now, works fine

I don't see why they would have removed the buttons :O...


I have an aftermarket stero so looks like i will have to buy 'THE CAT'.
But this also means i still have the buy the buttons and wire them in etc?

You wouldn't even notice they are gone. I didn't even know some VY's had buttons!. The car came with a stock headunit but i installed an aftermarket one.

yes That possible just you will to get buttons and change the clock spring 3 wires type
but I advise don't just get buttons , Change all steering wheel because it has some different
but also that for original headunit for aftermarket you must use cat10
