Im tyring to find out whether or not it is possible to change the rubber seal that seperates the back window and the back quater window as the jerk who had the car before me burned the hell out of the rubber with a buffer (along with door/window strips on the whole right side of the car (i have replaced these tho as they are easy to change)
i have tried painting it black but it keeps peeling and bubbling when i wash the car there and it looks quite cheap anyway.
Ive attached a photo of the seal i am talking about... does anybody know what is the least complicated way to change this? Someone told me it is actually fitted onto the rear quater window and cannot be removed... surely this cant be the case right? Isnt it possible to roll down the back window as far as possible and try and pry away the seal off the window?
Any help would be appreciated as this has been pissing me off for quite some time now and have never had the time to look into fixing it properly...
The quarter glass is one piece with a capsulated mould so you cant just remove that one part. They are easy to remove but a bit more complicated to fit as you need to roll the larger rubber moulding over the inner door channel.
