    Default vy brake upgrade

    hey looking at a brake upgrade for my vy ss ute ive got standard brakes with slotted rotors put they dont have the power id like and they fade and warp really fast just wondering if anyone heres done a brake upgrade for track as im looking to do 3 lap sprints and my brakes wouldnt last a lap. my brothers got an evo that he races and he says he wouldnt go any less than 4 piston at the front and 2 at the back with at least 330mm of width. however i found these on ebay what are your thoughts? 343mm PK1 COMMODORE VR-VZ BIG BRAKE KIT HSV SIZE PBR | eBay

    Your brother is right go for a new or second hand HSV AP set up as minimum, 4piston 350mm front and 4 piston 332mm rears.
    That Ebay kit is ok for the street and will fill up big diameter wheels good but won't be too good on the track as the 2/1 piston calipers will let you down as they will flex as they get hot.
    A second hand AP VX-VY2 GTS setup would be better, 6 piston 362mm front, 4 piston 350mm rears (not sure on the rear size but pretty close).

    check out GSL Motorsport in the sponsor section GSL RallySport and tell him what sort of brakes you need and what sort of driving there needed for and he can get you a good deal on some good brakes
