Default shaking steering wheel when breaking

    Hey guys,

A Lot of the time when I am breaking my steering wheel shakes a lot. I am
Aware this is from bent break calipers/rotors from heat causing them
    To bend.

Is it expensive to get this fixed or
    Is it better
To just buy new breaks? Thanks!

Depending on the condition of the brake rotors you can get them machined which is cheaper than replacing them, but they will generally warp out of shape quicker than new brakes because they will be slightly thinner.

There are other thigns it could be too

Your rotors can be machined if they have enough meat in them, I have been quoted $50 a disk, remeber you need to replace the pads at the same time which start at $50 and go up.

Another thing it could be is suspension bushes, I am just about to replace mine because of this because they are flogged out.

    Rotors are warped, common problem.

I can do slotted rotors and performance pads for $220 shipped.

Just bang on a new set of rotors. Easy to do and relatively cheap. As above ^^^^^

New Rotors, Dont get them machined, Just makes them thinner and warp even faster. Pay a little extra for new rotors

Yeah i figured new rotors would be the best way to go. Front pads are at 25% so it is going to be a good time to replace them

Factory rotors that havent been skimmed before are fine to skim as they have plenty of meat on them. Ive skimmed mine for shudder a year ago and havent had an issue since. Youre only talking 10ths of a mm when skimming rotors.

Its also not compulsory to fit new pads after a skim but it is a good idea.
