So I have a series 2 vy ss... On the odd occasion when i start it, it's revving extremely low to the point where it is almost stalling. The revs jump a bit, up and down from about 200 revs to maybe 500? I have tried a couple of times to get the revs up when it's idling like this by pumping the accelerator, I've had no luck getting them back up to normal without turning it off and restarting it a couple of time. But my partner has persisted and the idle has returned to normal after about a minute of full on revving.
The first time it did this, I didn't think it was a big problem. But it's done it quite a few times since then and I don't know what it could be. My partner thinks it could be something to do with my CAI but it had done it once or twice before I got it installed. I'm maybe thinking fuel pump? Because it mostly does it when there's a quarter of a tank or there abouts? I mostly put premium in my car, on the very odd occasion when money is low I might put $20 normal in but then it's straight back to premium... Has anyone had or heard of this problem before?? Thanks for any help!!!!![]()
Sounds like it is in limp mode to me. Have you unplugged anything in the engine bay at all and havent fully clipped it back in?
I haven't touched a thing since it has had the tune and OTR... Only thing I have done is reconnect the hose from the OTR to the engine because the hose is too short and slowly comes off with the shaking of the engine...![]()
