Default engine overheating - becoming more frequent with every drive (low coolant warning)

ok so it started slowly but my friend had the front left repaired after it was damaged. up until this point there were no issues with the engine overheating. since this was fixed its slowly been burning off coolant to the point now where everytime its driven its getting the low coolant warning (it gets topped up everytime they drive it now)

now i was thinking it may be a loose Clamp on a hose to the radiator or something along those lines. but according to them the leaking is occuring out their coolant overflow which is on the right side of the engine bay (not 100% sure of this). now i was thinking maybe the radiator and such had been removed while the repairs took place but i cant find anything loose in the engine bay.

could this possibly be a thermostat issue? i don't really know where i should be checking so i thought i'd see if anyone here has an idea?

Sorry bout the rambles, its very late and yes i have been drinking so i'm probably rambling

Still if anyone has any ideas that would be great

    cheers

Leaking from coolant overflow means the radiator cap is knackered and needs a new one. It loses spring tension or the seal and pumps all the coolant out and into the overflow bottle.

Could the overflow bottle be cracked? That'd be a problem ...
