Dears,
Happy New Year to everyone.
I am having a problem, I am getting "Check Engine" error repeatedly, though it will not stay permanently. It disappears after sometime, but it is occurring repeated.
Is it possible to check the error cause if there is no indication available, any possible pointers ?
Hi mate,
If it's the 5.7L Gen III V8 then my guess is it is going to be the Oil Pressure Switch. They are a common problem with those engines and make the check engine light come on.
But get the codes checked first incase that isn't the problem.

Yea, its the same one, but oil pump was changed just last month.
I will get the codes checked to be sure... thanks a lot

I actually have the same problem with my VY 5.7L aswell. When the check engine signal appears is it a picture of an engine or is it in writing?
Both, Above check engine and below a picture of engine
Is it possible to trace the error if "Check Engine" is not there ?
I get thus in my vy ss and when it happens my traction cintrol turns off
Just had mine VY SS fixed, was as simple as a split hose. 20 bucks for a new hose about 5cm long hahaha
The split hose was playing around with the oil pressure senser, which was playing with the fuel mixtures to make my car run to lean.
I got the hose fixed, put it on the dyno and edited the fuel mixtures to run as they suppose to.
Now its like a new car!!!
I had this occuring prob in my vy.my mechanic at the time said it was the o2 sensor which they changed but it kept happening.turns out after getting this car serviced for over three years they had never changed or checked the state of the radiator coolant.Heads cracked....
