    Default shocks/springs question

    Hi guys,

just wondering, transfering the springs from a VY S to a VY Clubsport, is it possible?

or would i need to buy new ones?

also can i use the shocks from the vy s?

    thanks

The LS V8 engines and ecotec V6 in VT-VY's in most cases use the same front springs as they are similar in weight.
In the early VT the Holden V8 was 40kg heavier than the ecotec V6 so then there were different rate springs.
So using your old springs shouldn't be a problem.
HSV shocks are slightly better than Monroe GT Gas (not Sports), what are the shocks from your old car.

As for the springs usuing thiose shocks shouldn't be a problem and if you liked how it rode and handled in the Spac then should be the same in the Clubby.
The Clubbies (infact all the HSV's) are slightly heavier than equivalent Commodore sedan but all over not just in the front like in the early VT series1.
The extra weight in VY's comes from things like full body kit, bigger brakes if fitted, bigger front swaybar, extra interior gear.
As they all the little things added together make extra weight.
