Vy s supercharged question
Hey guys
im looking at buying a 04 vy s but its supercharged, just wondering will i be able to simply take of the superccharger and make it run like a normal 6? or would i need to replace things or would it create problems?
reason i cant have the supercharger is because im on my p's.

It will be a decompressed engine..
Basically, you will need to get a full ecotec top end (heads up), as well as computer (and I believe wiring loom), and after all of that, you will end up with something slower than a VY exec..

May as well just get a VY S-Pack that already has an ecotec V6, or wait until your off your P's and get a Supercharged V6 or even better, a VY SS V8.

But OP is right i just getting a normal V6 un modified a new top end is gonna cost you an arm and a leg and won't be worth it.

People like you OP are the reason P platers have a bad name. Hai guiz can I please buy a supercharged model and take it off. Then of course the people saying yeah man just do it. Facepalm man up deal with the fact you can't get a forced induction model spend less money on a crappy car first then go to the forced induction route when your on your open's.

Just buy a normal v6 for ####s sake, why the Phuck would you even consider that in the first place...
The V6 is MACEd
From what i can gather a l67 with the supercharger off would likely run like shit anyway cause the compression is set for boost in those engines. Not to mention you would need an intake manifold, Heads, plenum and prob throttle body. Then the ecu would need to be tuned to suit as its tuned for supercharger.

I've had the pleasure of driving an NA L67 - a Prius would go harder.
So what you are gonna take off the supercharger, spend money to get it running half decent, then what spend money to make it supercharged when you get off your p's??? Is that correct? MAKES NO FRIGGIN SENSE!!! Buy a NA, look after it and get as much back for it as you can and buy a Supercharged six or go straight to a V8 when you go on your opens.
Just take the charger belt off. Will be fine. I wouldn't bother but. Why don't you buy a s1 VT l67 that way you can drive it legally. or go a sv6
Or a get a switch to turn it off, just like in Mad Max...

jus outta curiosity "VS V6", why is this supercharged VY th only thing you have eyes for at th mo? do you need to sell your VS to buy it? maybe jus buy th VY and keep drivin th old one til you're allowed to get behind th wheel of a blown car? how much are you lookin at payin for th VY?
