electric window main block playing up?

Hey guys,

I have a 4 window electric window block in the centre console.

a few weeks back something funny happened. everything was fine and then I went to wind down the windows.

for the front 2 windows i can't hold the buttons down to wind down the windows. i have to press them lots of little times to get the window down. it goes up fine in one held click.

the rears work fine..

any idea what the dealio is??

maybe check the relay under your steering wheel it might be dodgy. the front 2 have a seperate one that normaly let you just press it for a second and it will go down automaticly

Common problem mate. They get dirt in them or inside them they have little plastic pins which the tips can melt and not touch the copper/brass seesaw bar. Open it up and clean it with CLR. U can get it at a supermarket. If ur pins are a little melted, c if u can get a broken one and swap the pins over and keep the rest as spares. Or get another one of a wreck.
