Default VE rims on a lowered vy s pack

Hi guys, just about to purchase a set of 18" VE rims. I'm just wondering what cost I'm going to be looking at for a set of new low profile tires and if there are any other troubles I may run into? I currently have stokies on.

    Cheers

I assume you are running 17 inch rims with 235 45 17 tyres.

With the 18 inch rim you keep the rolling diameter of the tyre the same (and you should retain the same width tyre). So you run 235 40 18 tyres (the same as you will find on the VY SS with its 18 x 8 inch rims. The GMH VE style rims are 18 x 8 inch. (Don't put a 245/40/18 tyre on).

Bridgestone Adrenalin RE002 are good tyres for the commodore so ring around to a few bridgestone dealers and get some prices. You will be looking at around $230 per tyre. (....or you could go and buy one of these el cheapo Asians brands that a lot of tyre dealers are wacking on their el cheapo tyre /wheel packages and then go sliding off the road into a parked car the next time it rains). Don't skimp on the tyres.

Ve rims wont just fit straight on... you need to machine the hub to make them fit
also it was recommended you get different wheel nuts as the angle on the ve ones is slightly steeper
